Cancer season came in quiet but is ending on a more explosive note! With all the flowers that are now in full bloom here in New Orleans, making the heat riddled environment enjoyable and maybe even a little seductive, our eyes are turning to a tropical disturbance that is spinning up in the Gulf of Mexico.

Endurance and staying present is the name of game here and while that may seem tiring it really is not. Spending time being present in my little garden with my plants, tending to their needs (fertilizer, lots of fertilizer!) Seeing if they need to be moved from getting to much Sun or even to much shade. Little adjustments here and there. Not all the time but just staying present in the day to day to take care of their needs.

This morning I was by my Jasmine bush who has really been through it the last couple of winters, is finally putting on flowers! The scent is so nice. I’m sure she has been enjoying all the rain we got the past couple of weeks. I was sure to give her extra fertilizer! The flowers (and herbs) I grow are the flowers that I use in my oil infusions so it is a nice feeling to cultivate and share even if its not a million batches!
